Trim Level Comparison: Nissan Murano and Nissan Pathfinder

Nissan Murano is a mid-sized SUV that was first launched in 2002. Since then, it has undergone several upgrades. This five-seater, two-rowed SUV is an effortless combination of style and comfort. The outer build is impressive with sleek lines and a sporty V-Motion grille, and the interiors are generously roomy and plushy.

The Nissan Pathfinder is also a mid-sized SUV currently in its fourth generation after being launched back in 1985. Rugged but sophisticated looks make this SUV stand out tall amongst the rest of the competition.

Both the Murano and Pathfinder come in four versions – the S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Let’s deep dive into what each trim offers at a Murano vs Pathfinder level.

The S trim is the starting level standard version of the Nissan Murano. It is powered by a V6, 3.5-liter engine with a horsepower of 260 HP and torque of 240 lb-ft. The front-wheel-drive model comes equipped with both hill start assist and a continuously variable transmission.

You also get brake assist along with cruise control and imminent frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking. The cabin comes fully equipped with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.

The Pathfinder S level is equipped with a rear-view monitor and automatic emergency braking. Speed sensitive volume control is also available.

This Murano trim level comes with all the standard features you get in the S, along with some interesting additions like a remote engine start system, blind spot scanning and warning, and rear cross traffic warning. You may expect more seat comfort here as the driver’s seat is 10-way powered and 2-way lumbar supported.

The Pathfinder SV level just has an 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat. Other features include intelligent cruise control and fog lights.

In this upgraded Murano version, the leather upholstered seats are heated as well. A Bose audio system and high-quality around-view mirror are significant inclusions. For the Pathfinder SL, you also get premium leather seats and an intelligent around-view monitor.

Here, you get all the Murano SL features and some more. Climate-controlled seats and sleek aluminum alloy wheels make this trim a luxurious ride. The Pathfinder Platinum also has all previous trim features, along with a 13-speaker Bose audio system and leather upholstered and ventilated front seats.
